September marks the beginning of fall, but while that generally means cooler temperatures and kids going back to school, the fun never stops in Central Florida! The warm weather is still here, and so is the year-round entertainment for families. Dinner Shows
Our No. 1 recommendation for September is the Sleuths Mystery Dinner Show. This 2 ½-hour show is one of the longest-running dinner shows in Orlando today, and it’s easy to see why! From the moment you step through the doors, you are in the midst of a murder mystery, and it’s up to you to figure out who did it. Dine on a three-course meal while enjoying a 45-minute comedy mystery that will present all the clues from the various possible suspects. After you finish up your meal, the detective will roam around the room so you can ask any and all questions to help you come to a final conclusion. And when desert comes around, you’ll make your final guess as to who the culprit is. If your table’s right, you’ll win some prizes. Talk about a rewarding meal! Sleuth’s Mystery Dinner Show is available at from the as low as $46, a savings of over 30 percent!

Amway Center
The Amway Center has a jam-packed month of events, beginning with a slew of headlining concerts visiting the City Beautiful in the next 30 days. Paul Simon (Sept. 11), Carlos Vives (Sept. 14), Fall Out Boy (Sept. 16) and Ozuna (Sept. 20) will be bringing their talents to this downtown area in September. Other events coming to Orlando this month include Disney on Ice: Mickey’s Search Party (Sept. 7-9), Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out Live (Sept. 15), and the NHL returns to the Amway Center for a matchup between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers on Sept. 27.

Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts
The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts always has a diverse collection of shows playing, and September is no different, with a variety of concerts and shows taking center stage. Among those playing in the venue include: Legally Blonde the Musical (Sept. 6-9), k.d. lange ingénue redux (Sept. 8), Dr. Jordan B. Peterson (Sept. 14), Orlando Jazz Festival (Sept. 21-22), David Byrne: American Utopia Tour (Sept. 28), Casa de Mexico Gala (Sept. 29).

Theme Parks
The Walt Disney World Resort is heading straight from summer to the fall with some of the most popular special events that Disney has to offer! The highly-anticipated Epcot International Food & Wine Festival continues throughout the entire month of September, giving guests a culinary journey through the world and some of the most popular artists in the past few decades with the Eat to the Beat concert series! Also ushering in fall at the Magic Kingdom Park is Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which takes over the park on select nights throughout September, giving families the chance to experience the park’s top attractions, special shows, fireworks and a parade coupled with unlimited trick-or-treating.

Another one of the fall staples in Orlando is Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights. Beginning on select nights Sept. 14, this special ticketed event features scare zones, more haunted houses than ever before, sinister entertainment and trick-or-treating like you’ve never seen before! This event is one of the most popular events to hit Orlando each year, so be sure to get your tickets early before they sell out!

With all of these shows and special events taking place this September, there’s no better place to usher in fall than right here in Orlando, Fla.!
