Cooler weather and the approaching holidays make November an opportune time to take a family vacation to the Central Florida area. Whether you‘re coming for Thanksgiving break or just a weekend getaway, here are the top recommendations for family-friendly entertainment options all month long in the City Beautiful!

Dinner Shows
Our No. 1 recommendation for November is a family favorite, Blue Man Group! Located at Universal CityWalk, Blue Man Group is an experience for the senses, with blue-painted men entertaining guests with a mixture of music, comedy, improvisation and splattering paint. This small, intimate theater means that everyone gets to partake in the action, and it’s the perfect addition to your day if you plan on being at either of the Universal Orlando theme parks during your vacation! Tickets start from just $45 for Blue Man Group, which includes a limited time Florida resident fall savings.

The honorable mentions for November are La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil, which is in its final 60 days of performances at Disney Springs, and The Outta Control Comedy Dinner, both of which can be experienced at a discount price exclusively from!

Amway Center
The Amway Center has a jam-packed lineup for the month of November, with events on 20 of the 30 days of the month. Sports fill a large portion of that calendar, with the NBA’s Orlando Magic back in action for the second month of the regular season with five home games, while the Orlando Solar Bears hockey team plays in front of its home crowd eight times.

Five major concerts also await fans of all musical genres in November, headlined by Jay-Z’s tour in support of his latest album, 4:44, on Nov. 11, while Andre Rieu (Nov. 2), Imagine Dragons (Nov. 10), Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull (Nov. 14) and Marc Anthony (Nov. 19) will also rock out for their fans at the Amway Center. The annual Battle of the Bands competition also takes place on Nov. 17.

Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts
The Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts always has a diverse collection of shows playing, and November is no different, with a variety of concerts and performances taking center stage. Among those playing in the venue include: La La Land in concert (Nov. 11), Cedric the Entertainer (Nov. 16) and Brit Floyd (Nov. 19), while Love Never Dies: The Phantom Returns will run its Broadway production from Nov. 21-26.

Theme Parks
The local theme parks are celebrating the holidays a little early this year with Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Disney’s Magic Kingdom Park, while the all new Holidays at Universal Orlando Resort began on Nov. 8 at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.

Whether you’re visiting Central Florida for Thanksgiving break or a quick fall getaway, there’s a lot to be thankful for in the City Beautiful, especially with the help of!
