Amway Center and the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts
The Amway Center has three major concert tours stopping in town this month, with the Jonas Brothers kicking off things on Aug. 9, followed by Khalid Aug. 16 and the Backstreet Boys Aug. 24. Meanwhile, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts has one headlining act taking center stage in August, as the 85 South Show performs in the Walt Disney Theater on Aug. 18.

Theme Parks
The Walt Disney World Resort is closing out summer with a bang, as several popular events return during the month while the long-awaited Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will debut at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Aug. 29. Guests will be transported to a galaxy far, far away as they encounter the light and dark side with a new attraction, merchandise and food and beverage locations and character encounters that are out of this world! On the same day, the ever-popular Epcot International Food and Wine Festival returns, with more global cuisine options than ever before, coupled with live music, themed events and more. And finally, the Magic Kingdom Park is ushering in fall a bit early, as Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party kicks off on select nights in mid-August for trick-or-treating, thrills and chills across the park!

Through the month of August, SeaWorld Orlando will continue its Electric Ocean celebration on select nights, where families can enjoy the worlds of light and music, complete with a DJ, glowing sea creatures and an evening fireworks display. The last summer concert series of the year also takes center stage on Aug. 10 and 11, as Blood, Sweat & Tears perform two shows a day at the Nautilus Theater.
