The Pirate Who Stole Christmas

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! While it may not be snowing in Central Florida, there is plenty of holiday joy to be found. From the local theme parks to the area’s special events, there are plenty of reasons to vacation in the City Beautiful this holiday season! Some of the area dinner shows are also getting into the act, with special themed performances that have an added holiday twist. Get your tickets now for these shows that are sure to add some holiday cheer to your holidays in Central Florida!

No. 1 Pick

Our No. 1 recommendation for December is the Pirate’s Christmas Dinner Adventure. From November 30 to December 31, the Pirate’s Dinner Adventure turns into The Pirate Who Stole Christmas, an interactive dinner show featuring all the same action, romance, singing and laughs as the regular Pirate’s show, but with a holiday plot! Watch as Captain Kringle tries to stop the evil plans of Minister Scrooge and Magistrate Marley to cancel Christmas. Who is the Pirate who stole Christmas? Find out by taking your family there this holiday season! This Broadway-caliber show still features a delicious three-course meal, but the Christmas addition doesn’t mean extra money.

Honorable Mention

The honorable mentions for December are Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba and Blue Man Group, two shows that are easily accessible from the local theme parks. Located at Disney Springs at the Walt Disney World Resort, La Nouba uses two groups of characters, the lively Cirques (circus people) and the Urbains (urbanites), to perform contemporary circus acts to dazzle crowds night after night. La Nouba is a sensory overload from beginning to end, as the current nine acts are sandwiched with performances from two clowns to keep the energy up for the entirety of the show. If you haven’t seen La Nouba in a while, you might want to give it another try simply to see the two new acts, which were implemented in late 2015 – the first being a high-energy trio of B-Boys, while the second is a high-wire duo that uses a stainless steel aerial pole to perform a variety of tricks while suspended from the ceiling. With the combination of the clowns and the two new first acts, almost 30 percent of the show has changed since 2014. If you haven’t seen Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba in a few years, now is the time to see these new performances for yourself at a discounted price!

Located at Universal CityWalk, Blue Man Group is an experience for the senses, with blue-pained men entertaining guests with a mixture of music, comedy, improvisation and splattering paint. This small, intimate theater means that everyone gets to partake in the action, and it’s the perfect addition to your day if you plan on being at either of the Universal Orlando theme parks during the holidays.

With shows and discounts such as this in Orlando this December, your family will be singing “joy to the world” with all the money you will be saving! Bring some Yuletide to your holiday season this year with!
